Is my steering column is acting up?

i own a 1999 Buick park avenue i turn my car on and leave it on (P) If i turn the wheel to the right perfect turn all the way with no clump noise but if i turn the wheel all the way to the left it stops like half way dose not turn fully and it make some clump noise and this only happen when i turn to the left, my car is in need of an alignment. WHaT CoULd It BeE?
