After I cropped my photo, my picture didn't change?

I'm sorry if this question is confusing. I want to upload a picture, and when I clicked on the "crop" button, my picture does not saved/shows up...and it starts back to square one to uploading a picture on Yahoo? Can anyone help me change my photo into the photo that I want? Again, I'm sorry if this confusing.
