What do i do with this boy?

so this boy i really like seems to stare at me a lot. and when he seems to be very far away from me, he catches up within a minute. and my friend has seen him check me out, and when my firnd called my name, he looked at me. and today, my friend told me to pretend like i didnt notice him to see wha would happen. so i did and he seemed to get really close tome today. also, before class, he came and talked to this guy that we (me and my friend) were standing next to. and ive never seen him talk to that guy before. so basically, today i acted like myself, when usually im really shy around him. so do you think he likes me or what does this all mean?
