Why did my brother buy picadilly square for me?

Well, me and my brother were playing monopoly yesterday, and we normally always argue but my grandparents were here so we were told to behave and randomly he just starts buying picadilly square for me from his own money. Is this a tactic, the game isn't finished so what should I do? Please help boiz
